fonts-umeplus software package provides Japanese TrueType gothic fonts, based on Umefont and M+Font, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-umeplus
fonts-umeplus is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-umeplus package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-umeplus *
You will get with fonts-umeplus package name, version, architecture and description in a table
